In March as an annual offer we ran a Vaccination amnesty! This meant adult dogs and cats who had missed a booster injection could get their course started up again for the cost of a booster!

Vaccination is vital to keep your pet healthy and well in the face of diseases that can be caught outside either with contact with other dogs or cats or even from contact with wildlife such as foxes etc in the garden or on the farm. Even rats can be the cause of serious illness in your pet as they can carry Leptospirosis and pass it on simply through their urine so Vaccination is important to protect your pet. It needs to be started with a course of two or three injections and continued throughout life with annual booster injections that not only protect your pet but also mean they get a thorough health check.

This year it the uptake was very good and there are more pets out there that are now fully protected! The devastation when your pet contracts any of these serious diseases such as Parvovirus is dreadful as they need intensive care and huge amounts of treatment with no guarantee that they will pull through.
