The dental machine consists of a dental de-scaler and a dental polisher. Ultrasonic tips are used to clean the teeth and gums. These tips vibrate 30,000 times per second removing the tartar. The teeth are then polished smooth with a polisher, helping to prevent rapid re-attachment of plaque.

Plaque is the main enemy and is formed mainly from food debris, oral bacteria and saliva proteins. It will start to re-attach to the teeth 3hours after the procedure unless steps are taken to prevent this.
